Supervision & Mentorship

Grow With Confidence
ARE YOU…

-
Feeling unsure about your clinical decisions, questioning your skills, or struggling to find your footing as a therapist?
-
Maybe you’re working toward registration with your Ordre or College and want guidance to build confidence and deepen your practice.
It’s normal to feel uncertain (every clinician does at some point!), but you don’t have to navigate this part of your professional journey alone. Supervision is not just a requirement; it’s a space to grow, reflect, and feel supported as you become the therapist you want to be.
You want to feel grounded, competent, and equipped to support your clients with clarity and confidence. Supervision can help you get there.
Supervision and mentorship create a collaborative, supportive space to strengthen your skills, build confidence, and shape a grounded professional identity.

In the early years of practice, it’s one of the most valuable investments you can make for yourself and for the people you support.
✔︎ EFFECTIVENESS OF SUPERVISION: Research consistently shows that the quality of clinical supervision is one of the strongest predictors of therapist effectiveness and client outcomes. A well-supported therapist is better able to help their clients grow and heal.

✔︎ BURNOUT PREVENTION: Studies have found that regular supervision significantly reduces burnout and compassion fatigue. Having a space to reflect on challenges and receive feedback protects your well-being and career longevity.
✔︎ CONFIDENCE AND COMPETENCE: A survey of mental health professionals found that clinicians who engaged in structured supervision reported higher confidence in decision-making and greater adherence to ethical standards.
✔︎ REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Regulatory bodies like the OCCOQ, OPQ, and CRPO emphasize supervision as a cornerstone of professional development. These hours aren’t just a requirement. They build the foundation for sustainable, ethical practice.
Supervision creates ripple effects: when you feel supported and competent, your clients feel it too.
Supervision and mentorship offer a collaborative, supportive space to strengthen your clinical skills, build confidence, and develop a grounded professional identity.

My approach to supervision is collaborative and supportive, blending evidence-based frameworks with a focus on the person of the therapist.
I believe that what comes up for you while working with clients — your reactions, doubts, countertransference, or moments of self-doubt — holds vital information. Exploring these experiences in supervision is not a distraction from clinical work; it is central to your growth and to therapeutic success.
Together, we’ll look at both the practical and the personal dimensions of therapy. On the practical side, we’ll focus on treatment planning, clinical reasoning, ethical questions, and interventions drawn from modalities such as CBT, Schema Therapy, IFS, and nervous system regulation. On the personal side, we’ll explore how your identity, history, and emotional responses influence your work in the therapy room. This balance helps you become not only a skilled clinician but also an authentic, grounded one.

I believe that good supervision should leave you feeling encouraged, challenged in meaningful ways, and better equipped to handle the complexities of clinical work.

I provide supervision for...
✔︎ Members of the OCCOQ or those with qualifying status
✔︎ Clinicians working toward a psychotherapy permit with the OPQ or those with a permit
✔︎ Registered Psychotherapists or Qualifying Psychotherapists with the CRPO
I ESPECIALLY ENJOY WORKING WITH CLINICIANS WHO ARE:
✔︎ Building confidence in the early years of practice
✔︎ Seeking clarity around ethical decision-making and professional identity
✔︎ Transitioning into private practice and wanting guidance around both clinical and practical challenges
✔︎ Interested in deepening their use of integrative, evidence-based approaches

How It Works
01
Supervision Sessions
Each supervision session is a dedicated space for you to bring the real challenges of your clinical work. You might present a client case you feel stuck with, explore a moment of self-doubt, or ask for guidance on applying a specific intervention. Together, we’ll look at the case from multiple angles — theory, technique, ethics, and the person of the therapist — so you leave with both clarity and practical next steps.
Sessions typically involve discussion, reflection, and collaborative problem-solving. I may share frameworks from CBT, Schema, or IFS, or suggest tools you can test in session with your clients. Sometimes supervision is about strategy and skills; other times it’s about unpacking what a case brings up for you personally. Either way, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space that balances encouragement with accountability, so you continue to grow in confidence and competence.
For your first session, we’ll review your goals, clarify the requirements you need to meet, and map out the areas of focus most relevant to your growth. From there, supervision will be shaped by both your professional obligations and your personal development as a clinician.

Next Steps
Supervision is a relationship, and the first step is simply starting a conversation. We’ll schedule a short consultation so you can share what you’re looking for, ask questions, and get a feel for whether this space feels right for you.
If it’s a good fit, we’ll work out the details together — how often to meet, whether individual or group supervision is best, and whether you’d like to connect virtually or in person. I’ll also guide you through the paperwork so your hours are recognized by the OCCOQ, OPQ, or CRPO.

Booking is simple: you can use my online booking system or reach out by email if you’d rather connect personally first. From there, you’ll have a clear plan and a supportive space to begin building confidence and clarity in your clinical work.

Every therapist deserves a space where they can be honest about uncertainty, strengthen their skills, and celebrate their wins. Supervision is about more than meeting standards — it’s about shaping your identity as a clinician: grounded, capable, and confident in your work. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and your practice, let’s take this next step together. The investment you make here will extend to every client you support.
